Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (see JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.
For MD locations – You must have compact license or MD license.
Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years of MS/Tele experience required. Adult MS tele only. - Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment or 1 month of a per diem assignment.
Required Credentials: - Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Unit Details: - Most surgical cases are placed on this unit, including large orthopedic programs (total joints), colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery. - Patient population includes diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, general surgery (kidney stones, appendectomy, minor amputations), sickle cell crisis, GI bleed, diverticulitis, and general medicine/observation. - Unit serves adolescents, infants, adults, pediatric, and geriatric patients overall. - Travelers are not expected to hold PALS certification or care for pediatric patients. Telemetry is adult only.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks.
7 days maximum time off
2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
