Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2780 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Comfortable with 1:5 assignments that may include total-care patients.

Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Unit Details: Primarily medical diagnoses, with less surgical focus, including UTI, pleural effusions, altered mental status, hepatic encephalopathy, dehydration, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, and cellulitis. Heparin is the only titratable drip; RNs titrate it per protocol. The unit uses a Philips cardiac monitoring system. No trachs or vents. CPAP may be used if it is the patient’s regular home routine. Patients may have stable BiPAP; rescue treatment requires higher-level care. The unit does not have proper infrastructure to support high-flow oxygen.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling is not available; travelers fill in where needed. Every other weekend; day shifts cover Sat/Sun. Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff (2 minor and 1 major holidays). No call.

Floating Requirements: Floats to another Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
