Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2820 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Charge experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience caring for psychiatric patients preferred. Preceptor experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any past employee of UnityPoint Health, whether an FTE or PRN member of the UnityPoint Health float pool, cannot work travel assignments in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they previously worked travel at UnityPoint Health rather than as an FTE or PRN employee, the separation policy does not apply.

Unit Details: Patient population includes all types of medical-surgical care, including overflow of postoperative surgical hips/knees and/or psychiatric patients. Heparin drips are used. Telemetry technician monitoring is remote.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 per week can be accommodated if preferred. Unless the unit is closed, the clinician is required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s). Every other or every 3rd weekend, depending on staff/census. No call.

Floating Requirements: Travelers will be required to float across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist, and to like units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
