Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2830 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Required skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, pre/post-hemodialysis management, port access, blood product administration, central-line care and management, phlebotomy, peripheral-line care and management, PICC-line management, starting IVs, heparin protocols, cardiac-drip management without titration, PCA, thrombolytic agents, substance withdrawal, orthopedic trauma, traction, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and isolation precautions.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Level I trauma experience is preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests: For time off, will allow up to 2 requests, no more than a total of 40 hours (5 days) of time off during contract. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Monthly parking options cost $73 at the North Surface Lot, $63 at the Clayton Avenue Building Southeast Lot, or $73 at the Clayton Taylor Garage; prices and availability may vary. Parking for orientation at the Laclede Garage costs $15; Barnes does not validate or reimburse this charge. Straight night shifts may use employee parking at no charge.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patients are awaiting admission to an inpatient unit; care begins in the Emergency Department until an inpatient bed is available.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float within the service line as needed.
