Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

• BSN completion preferred

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Skills: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management
  • Experience in Neuro Tele units.
  • Strong Neuro experience for first time travelers.
  • Previous Charge experience.
  • Patient Ratio Experience: 1:5-6

Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring

Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

Floating Requirements: MS Tele & Neuro Units

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
