Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is required with 1 month within the last 18 months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Required Skills/Experience: Trauma level I/II of recent hospital experience is required. Floating experience does not count toward experience requirement. Correctional facility experience does not count toward experience requirement.

Special Requests: Start dates are not flexible. Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule. Cannot have an employment gap in the past 4+ months.

Unit Details: Nurse-patient ratios are 1:5-6 on days and 1:6 on nights. Common patients are primarily medical, including pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, acute kidney injury, and occasional laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy cases. Heparin and Lasix drips are non-titrated. The unit uses BiPAP and cares for stable tracheostomy patients. Printed telemetry strips are interpreted by a dedicated monitor technician; nurses must verify the interpretation and identify rhythm changes.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 per week only; 48 per week is not available. Additional shifts may be picked up. No more than 5 days of RTO are allowed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Typically 2/3 holidays are required. Low-census on-call is required.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
