Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have skills/experience with IVs, drains, ostomies, wound vacs, NG tubes, Foley catheters, electronic health records, and an intermediate care background.
Special Requests: Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but every effort is made to provide block schedules when possible, especially for night shifts. Former Marshfield employees must have an end date at least 6 months before the submission date.
Unit Details: Common diagnoses and patient types include abdominal surgeries, ear, nose, and throat surgeries, complex wounds, and general medical cases. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common titratable or set-rate drips include heparin and, infrequently, insulin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and nitro. Telemetry technicians monitor rhythms and notify nurses of concerns; RNs are not required to read telemetry strips. Technicians record patient rhythms in the EHR, and an on-unit monitor allows RNs to view their patients’ rhythms. Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm; the unit occasionally cares for patients with tracheostomies and does not use ventilators.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float on a rotation to other medical-surgical units when the unit is overstaffed.
