Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Medical declinations accepted.
• 6 months between Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

Required Skills / Experience: Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and intermediate skills
IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs
Gastrointestinal: Bowel obstruction, Colostomy care and management, Feeding tube care and management
Respiratory: Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management
Genitourinary/Renal: Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure
Medications: Heparin, Insulin, PCA
Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
Endocrine /Metabolic: IV insulin protocols
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response: Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
Work Settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry
Neurological/Psychiatric: Substance Withdrawal
Plastics: Surgical drains
Additional Skills: Flaps and Leech Therapy
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Shift & Scheduling: No on-call duty required
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 Requests
Floating Requirements: Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level. Provide care in East Tower, including General Surgery, Trauma, Vascular, Wound, and Plastics departments
