Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• 12 months of acute care experience within the last 2 years.
• 12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <90 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - MaineHealth.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - IMC RNs must have ventilator experience. All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and reading/interpreting telemetry strips.
Special Requests: - Travel pairs are not accepted.
Unit Details: - Patient ratios: Day shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, night shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, day and night IMC 3:1. - Equipment: For IMC patients: ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP. IMC and Med Tele equipment: CPAP, nasal cannula, non-rebreather, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, trach care/maintenance. - Patient population: Respiratory, medical telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and most acute-on-chronic medical conditions.
Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend schedule: either Saturday/Sunday/Monday or Friday/Saturday/Sunday. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit within MMC. IMC RNs will float to Med/Surg as needed. Med/Surg RNs may float to another Med/Surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need, skill, and the needs of nursing units.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
