Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Required. Must be able to function in the charge role independently as needed.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission.
Unit Details: Combined telemetry and pediatrics unit. Charge responsibilities span the Acute Care Services Department, including the Medical Surgical unit and adult ICU; the ICU is staffed with its own ICU nurse, and the Charge Nurse oversees ICU workflow rather than providing direct ICU patient care. Infant, pediatric/adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Common patient populations include diabetes, sepsis, CHF, COPD, asthma, cellulitis, pneumonia, arrhythmias, HTN, gastroparesis, appendectomies, cholecystectomy, ventral hernia repairs, bowel obstructions, and neuro patients.
Shift & Scheduling: No on-call. Every other weekend. 6 weekend shifts per schedule period.
