Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills/experience: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry-on-the-unit monitoring, use of rapid response teams. Endocrine/metabolic skills/experience: IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips. Feeding tube care and management experience required. Experience with patients with renal failure required. IV therapy/phlebotomy skills/experience: accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs. Medication skills/experience: heparin protocols, titrate vasoactive drips. Neurological/psychiatric case skills/experience: CVA. Experience with total joint replacements required. Respiratory skills/experience: external CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy management. Professional topics and skills: isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Community hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests: Discuss time off requests with manager.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes CHF, COPD, UTI, pneumonia, cellulitis, pancreatitis, pyelonephritis, small bowel obstruction, falls, fractures, rehabilitative needs, and extensive wounds. Unit details include wound vacs, wound dressings, long term IV antibiotics, central lines (PICCs, Port-A-Caths), and blood transfusions.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.
Floating Requirements: If low census, will float within skill level.
5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
