Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System.

Additional Details:

You must be willing to float, work weekends, and generally just be very flexible.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required skills/experience: Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. Rehab/ MS experience. Work Settings, Acute Inpatient rehab, Acute Rehab hospital, Endocrine/Metabolic, Blood glucose monitoring, Insulin protocols, Gastrointestinal, PEG Tube feeding and management, Swallowing precautions, Thickened liquids, Genitourinary/Renal, Chronic renal failure/dialysis, Foley catheter removal, IV therapy, Central line care (PICC lines), Starting and maintaining IVs, Neurological, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Stroke scale assessment, Traumatic Brain injury, Professional Topics and Skills, Fall Risk Assessment/Prevention, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Lift/transfer devices, Patient Teaching, Pressure Ulcer Assessment/Prevention.

Shift & schedule requirements: This unit does not offer straight 3x12 schedules. Travelers can either work an alternating 3x12s alternating 4x12’s every other week, or they can work straight 4x12’s. Weekend Required. Every Other Holiday.

Unit and facility details: This is a REHAB floor-Brain injuries, stroke patients, & trauma patients

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
