Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Summit Healthcare Association.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be strong in neuro and cardiac skills.
Unit Details: - Med-Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds; heavy on tele. - Adult and pediatric patients, but travelers do not take pediatric assignments; these are assigned to permanent staff. - Support staff on unit includes tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs. - Nurse to patient ratios: 1:5 days; 1:6 nights; 1:4 peds; also based on level of acuity. - Nurse managers do not provide patient care, but they do rounds. - No IV team. - Hospitalist, respiratory therapist, and pharmacy coverage available 24/7.
Floating Requirements: - Float to all Med-Surg units and ICU (taking Med-Surg overflow patients).
7 days maximum time off
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
