Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• ASN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.
• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.
• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers not accepted. Required skills include trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, cardiac rhythm interpretation (will check off on strips during shift), and central line blood draws. Required non-titrating drip experience: Heparin, Lasix, Protonix.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Preferred non-titrating drip experience: Cardizem and Amiodarone; can teach on unit if no experience.
Required Credentials: ASN / BSN
Unit Details: Transitional care unit with a general MedSurg/Telemetry patient population including CHF, COPD, kidney/liver/GI/respiratory issues, CIWA patients, infections, and wounds. Mostly medical patients, but any service line can admit, so may also see general surgeries and other patients. RNs may collect labs. Telemetry uses bedside monitors with a central monitor at the nurses’ station. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell. Free parking.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. 50% holiday requirement. No call.
Floating Requirements: Could float within scope of practice at hospital.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
