Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Blessing Hospital.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have total joint experience. Understanding of PCA pumps, reversal drugs (Narcan), sepsis management. Experience with TPN/ Lipids. Narcotic usage. 1 year of experience - surgical experience required.
• RN’s required to titrate drips : Heparin. Titrated per protocol.
• RNs to interpret strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Sat. Sun for both shifts. In the holiday rotation with core staff.

Floating Requirements: Float to like units only. If floated to higher acuity it would be to work as a help all and not take a patient load.

Other Requirements: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
