Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience within the past 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months between Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health

Preferred Skills/Experience: Gynecology. urology, plastic, and colorectal experience, Telemetry, Teaching Hospital Experience
Required Credentials: Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria.
A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:
Adult Exam:
100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole
No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]
Passing score of 80% or higher
Pediatric Exam
Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
Passing score of 80% or higher
Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts Vaya will notify recruitment of the results. Recruitment will notify the hiring manager that the traveler’s assignment will be cancelled.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Gynecology Oncology, Urology with urinary diversion surgeries - neobladder, ileal conduit with urostomy, and Indiana pouch. Plastics with gender affirming surgeries, free flap reconstruction, and ENT with new tracheostomies and airway management.
Types of Patients on Unit: Adults
Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds 28, Daily Census 28
Shift & Scheduling: Day/Night, Sunday - Saturday, 12-hour shifts, 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, weekend rotation. Some holidays based on operational need.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite
14 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
