Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months between Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

Required Skills/Experience:

Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Tracheostomy care/management, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Surgical drains, MS/Tele.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Teaching Hospital Experience

Oncology experience preferred

Accessing/Managing Ports, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Non-invasive airway management, Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Manage Cardiac drips - no titration, PCA, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Mastectomy, Skin grafts, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Unit/Facility Details: Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Shift & Scheduling: 13-16 week assignment

Weekends vary based on staffing needs

Floating Requirements: To other MedSurg Oncology units

Floating to MedSurg units including: • BMT • Acute Leukemia • Hematology • Medical Oncology • Gynecological Oncology • Urology • Colorectal • Surgical Oncology • Corrections Healthcare -Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 reference from last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 2 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

• ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
