Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted dependent on experience; must have strong Med-Surg background. Experience reading telemetry strips.
Unit Details: General medicine population including DM, GI, respiratory, renal, wounds/dressing changes, chest tubes, trachs, and lab draws. Chest tubes, trachs, PIV starts, drains/tubes, and PCA pumps. Gtt management includes Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and Heparin. Support includes CNA and receptionist/HUC coverage, rapid response team, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7. Routine phlebotomy support; RNs responsible for STAT draws. No IV/VAT team. Centralized telemetry; sign strips each shift. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips vital sign equipment, and lifts.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. On-call: none.
Floating Requirements: Floating to other Med-Surg units including 8 Reynolds, 8 North, 9 North A/B, ACE, 9 Ardmore, 10 Ardmore, and 8 North-B.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
