Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Meditech is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• 24 months of acute care experience.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Massachusetts license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >30 miles from facility to be submitted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Supplemental Program - Boston Medical Center (BMC).

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Meditech IVs, telemetry, able to adapt quickly to different units. Cardiac medical surgical. Recent cardiac experience expected. Must be able to independently read telemetry strips and pass on-site exam on Day 1 with an 84% or better (2 attempts).
Preferred Skills/Experience: 3-5 years previous med/surg tele.
Required Credentials: Nurses Only - BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Candidates are required to take and pass an advanced Dysrhythmia exam after an offer is extended and before accepting (within 48 hours of offer). 2 attempts to pass. Passing score is an 80% or the minimum of the angoff score. Will accept a previously completed exam if it’s within 1 year of start date. Will also take a tele test day 1 of orientation.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday.
Floating Requirements: These staff will be floated between our cardiac units and our med surg units.
Other Requirements: Prefer 1 reference from last travel assignment. Supervisor title not accepted.
7 days maximum time off
2 references required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
