Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:
Unit Details: General surgeries, orthopedics, Med Tele, COPD, stroke, diabetes, and other general med-surg populations. General Med-Surg RN skills include IV starts, drain/tube management, wound care, NGT placement, and central line management. Will manage non-titrating cardiac drips: Cardizem and Amiodarone, Heparin gtts, and blood products. Support staffing ratios: LPN 1:5-6; CNA 1:8-9. Support includes CNA assistance with ADLs, ambulation, patient care, and meal assist; receptionist/HUC; charge nurse generally without patient assignment with Team Lead support; phlebotomy team; IV/VAT team; RT 24/7; hospitalist 24/7; and centralized telemetry monitoring/tech 24/7. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, and tele monitors.
Special Requests: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: Float within region and scope of practice, including Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children’s Hospital), as needed.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
