Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Return Travelers: If a traveler takes a break after an assignment and returns within 18 months, re- orientation is not required.

Required Skills/Experience: IV therapy/Phlebotomy

Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs

Work Settings Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Feeding tube care and management Medications, PCA, Heparin Protocols, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response

Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Telemetry -on the unit monitoring Use of Rapid Response/Code teams Professional Topics and Skills

Isolation Precautions Wound Care/Wound Vac Cardiovascular

Post Cardiac Angiogram Post MI Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Genitourinary/Renal

Preferred Skills/Experience: Central line care/management, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Tracheostomy care/management, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Surgical drains

Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Pre-Post cardiac cath, Pre-op CT surgery, Post-op CT surgery, Heart Failure, Pre-Post ICD/Pacemaker Medicine Overflow, Post-op Vascular Surgery, Post-Op Thoracic Surgery, CT surgery/Cardiology/Thoracic Step-Down

Unit/Facility Details:

  • Number of Beds 31
  • 6 Bed Stepdown on the unit (Core staff care for these patients with high acuity)

Shift & Scheduling: Every Other Weekend, 50% of holidays encountered during contract.

Floating Requirements: To med-surg cluster.

7 days maximum time off
