Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 6 months of Epic experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation. - Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone). - General Med/Surg skillset, including care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes.
Special Requests: - Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Unit Details: - Various diagnoses - cardiac, respiratory, neuro, etc.; fast-paced, observation. - No HUC. Charge nurse may have a patient assignment and is always a resource for staff. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT 24/7, hospitalist on site dayshift and virtual in evenings/overnight, intensivist 24/7, telemetry monitoring remote with tele tech. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Massimo in all rooms.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Required to float per region needs within scope of practice. - Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH). - If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock while traveling between facilities.
6 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
