Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Previous Sanford Health employment requires an end date at least 6 months before submission. - Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. - Must disclose previous employment within the submission for a DNU check.
Required Skills/Experience: - BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care.
Preferred Credentials: - Specialty certification preferred.
Unit Details: - Pulmonary patient population includes pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and complex respiratory cases. - Unit care includes oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies, chest tubes, tracheostomies, postoperative care, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring. - Uses Alaris pumps and Acudose. - Ratios: 1:3 in Pulmonary Acute for IMC RNs; 1:4/5 on day shifts; 1:5/6 on night shifts.
Shift & Scheduling: - Rotating day/night shifts. Every other weekend and holiday.
Floating Requirements: - Float to Med-Surg units; travelers are the first to be reassigned to another department.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
