Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required from last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg experience with experience handling Neuro & Stroke patients. Comfort with tele strip reads including drips/titrations/iv administration. Experience using/reading the following: Lift equipment, telemetry, chest tubes, airvo.
Required Credentials: De-escalation certificate may be needed.
Types of Patients on Unit: Post TNK, Ortho, Crani-neurosurgery, laminectomies, polytrauma.
Equipment Used on Unit: Lift equipment, telemetry, chest tubes, airvo.
Unit/Facility Details: Bed Size: 25.
Special Requests: Winter holidays: Required to work 2 of 3 (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving). Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.
Shift & Scheduling: 48s upon request, No Call, Every other or every 3rd weekend including holiday rotation. Weekend Requirements: Usually every other or every 3rd including holiday rotation.
Floating Requirements: May float across other med surg units.
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
