Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System.

Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 Years MS/Tele/Neuro. Strong neuro required. Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, CVA, pre/post neuro surgery, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
Special Requests: RTO <5 days or add time to end of the contract. Mardi Gras discussed with manager.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric neuro/stroke patient population, including CVA, laminectomy, post-crani, and brain injury patients. Vascular surgeries, multi-level back surgeries, CABG, and ECMO. Will take 4 stroke patients and 1 Med/Surg.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week; facility prefers 4x12. Weekend requirement: Yes. No on-call. Holidays: Yes at least 2 of 3 holidays. You must work weekends and generally just be very flexible.
Floating Requirements: You must be willing to float.
5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
