Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu/pneumonia/COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. - RN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. - CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding; no HUC. - Charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. - Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, telemetry monitoring tech, RT, hospitalist, and intensivist support available. - Uses VNO virtual nursing (10 cameras); virtual RNs can act as a 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admission/discharge items.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Float within region and scope of practice to Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH) as needed.
Special Requests: - Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
