Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Will accept a first-time traveler dependent on experience. Must have a strong background in MST.

Unit Details: General medicine patient population including DM, GI, respiratory, renal, wounds/dressing changes, chest tubes, and trachs; lab draws required. Required skills include telemetry strip interpretation, chest tubes, trachs, PIV starts, drains and tubes, PCA pumps, and gtt management with amiodarone (occasionally), fentanyl PCA, ketamine PCA, dilaudid PCA, and heparin. Phlebotomy is a shared responsibility with the RN. No IV/VAT team. Centralized telemetry monitoring. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell. Parking: Free employee parking

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: Float units include 8 North, 9 North A/B, ACE, 9 Ardmore, 10 Ardmore, 8 North-B, and 8 Ardmore. Could float to facilities within Region 1 if needed, including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH [peds only]).

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
