Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Kentucky and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Kentucky.

Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Will allow the consideration of first time travelers only if they have experience caring for post-op surgical patients, especially Orthopedics and Gastrointestinal surgeries. Both medical and surgical skillset required. Need experience with wound vacs and solid orthopedic experience. Familiarity with orthopedic equipment required. High turnover rate; must be comfortable with multiple admissions and discharges per shift.
Required Credentials: EKG exam required to pass during onboarding. Med/Surg Tele competency exam, math exam, med/pharmacology exam, and CORE exams required.
Special Requests: If you want to take 4-7 days off, you must be willing to make up that time. You must fulfill the full 13 week contract. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Cares for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, GYN surgery, and bariatric post-op patients, with some medicine overflow when a bed is available. Very busy fast-paced unit that usually receives 10-20 post-ops/day. Includes cardiac and O2 monitoring capability.
Shift & Scheduling: Self scheduling with manager final approval. Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements: Float to other like units within skill set.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
