Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (see JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. For MD locations – You must have compact license or MD license.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. The unit has telemetry capability, with monitor techs monitoring patient telemetry. The unit has a post-op focus; however, other medical diagnoses are also seen. No COVID patients on this unit. The unit performs gender affirmation surgery, so candidates should be comfortable with this patient population; experience is not required but preferred.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Must work Memorial Day Mon 5/25/26, Independence Day Sat 7/4/26, and Labor Day Mon 9/7/26. No on-call requirements.
Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
7 days maximum time off
2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
