Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required within the last 18 months.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Proficiency caring for a variety of med surg patient types required. - Experience with heparin required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Telemetry/cardiac background highly preferred. - Recent charge experience highly preferred. - Recent precept experience preferred.
Special Requests: - Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees cannot work travel in another market if they currently work there or worked there within the past 12 months; prior UPH travel-only experience does not trigger this separation policy.
Unit Details: - All types of med surg care. - Remote telemetry technician monitoring.
Special Requests: - Must be open, and willing to extend past the initial 13 week assignment
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other or every 3rd weekend depending on staffing/census. - No call. - Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
Floating Requirements: - Required to float to all campuses, including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Methodist West Hospital, within the pertinent skillset/unit contracted for.
14 days maximum time off
2 references required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
