Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have experience with drips and be comfortable managing and titrating drips as needed.

Special Requests: - Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Travel pairs are okay, but same shifts cannot be guaranteed. - Cannot guarantee block scheduling. They do their best to accommodate block scheduling but cannot fully guarantee it. - If previously worked for Marshfield, end date must be at least 6 months prior to submission.

Unit Details: - Nurse:patient ratios: Day/Eve 1:4-5; nights 1:6, occasionally 1:7 if working short. - Patient population includes oncology/hematology, general medical, GI bleed, PE/DVT, sepsis, CHF/COPD, pneumonia, FTT, and weakness. Chemotherapy treatment needs are handled by internal nurses. - Titrates insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, octreotide, and blood transfusions. - Centralized tele techs monitor and read strips; nurses are not required to read their own strips. There are monitors on the unit to see basic rhythm, and RNs are expected to be tele aware. - Charge nurse and house supervisor are on all shifts. Charge nurse takes a modified assignment (Days 1:2-3, Nights 1:4). Travelers may be asked to step into charge if they are comfortable, especially on night shift. - Nurse aides are available with ratios 1:7-9 on day/eve and 1:14 overnight. - RT is in house 24/7 and oversees multiple units; patients may require continuous CPAP, BiPAP, or high flow O2.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). - Holiday requirements: 2/3 for winters, every other during other times. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - First to float, within med-surg units; out of med surg only for observer need or helping hands/tasking. Floating is done in 4 hour increments.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
