Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Basic Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management.

Unit Details: Stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu/pneumonia/COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wound patients. RN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. No HUC; charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, and telemetry monitoring/tech available; RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage 24/7. Unit-specific equipment: VNO (virtual nursing - 10 cameras). Virtual RNs can act as 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admission/discharge items.

Shift & Scheduling: Night shift: 1900 - 0700. Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: Float within region and scope of practice as needed to Region 3 facilities: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
