Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone).
Unit Details: Common diagnoses include stroke, seizure, AMS, generalized weakness, AKI/CKD, falls, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds. RN ratios on days/nights are 1:5-6; surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8. Support includes CNAs, receptionist/HUC, free-floating charge nurse, 24/7 phlebotomy, 24/7 IV/VAT team, dedicated pharmacist, 2 case managers per unit, MedSurg clinical nurse specialist, 24/7 RT for nebulizer treatments, nurse educator, 24/7 hospitalist, and APP support. No remote tele monitoring; unit clerk, charge/clinical supervisor, and staff are responsible to read and post every shift. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, and Rover Communication.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.
Floating Requirements: Will float within Region 2 as needed and within scope of practice: Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children’s Hospital).
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
