Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years of strong Cardiac/Tele and 1 travel assignment required.

Required Credentials: - Travelers are required to pass tele tests.

Unit Details: - Cardiac Renal Unit (CRU), a high-acuity Tele/Med-Surg unit with a cardiac-heavy population, including Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks, heart cath patients without interventions, CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post-ablation, and dialysis patients. - Required clinical competencies include Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiating and titrating drips (antiarrhythmics, heparin, amio), PIV insertion, chest tube and indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips (heparin, Lasix, Protonix), antidysrhythmic management (Cardizem, Tikosyn dosing, amio), and nephrostomy tubes. - Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7; charge nurse rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on night shift. - Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling: - Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. - Every other holiday. - Flexible contract hours: 36 per week; 48 per week upon request.

Floating Requirements: - First to float within skillset. - May float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and potentially Deaconess Henderson (KY); 2-hour notice for cross-campus float. - Mid-shift float within same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
