Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Experience with drips required; must be comfortable managing and titrating drips as needed.
Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job. - Previous Marshfield employment must be disclosed; if previously worked with Marshfield, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission. - Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Previous employment must be disclosed on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Resume entries must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating. - Travel pairs are not accepted. - Will work with travelers on scheduling requests, but block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
Unit Details: - Ratios: day/evening 1:4-5; nights 1:6, with uncommon assignments up to 1:7 if working short. - Patient population includes oncology/hematology and general medical patients, including GI bleed, PE/DVT, sepsis, CHF/COPD, pneumonia, failure to thrive, and weakness. - No oncology or chemotherapy knowledge is required; internal nurses handle treatment needs. - Common drips include insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, and octreotide. - Centralized tele techs monitor and read strips; nurses are not required to read their own strips but are expected to be tele aware. - Charge nurse takes a modified assignment (days 1:2-3, nights 1:4); travelers may be asked to step into charge if comfortable, especially on nights. - Patients may require blood transfusions, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow O2.
Shift & Scheduling: - Shift options include 0700-1930 and 1100-2330. - Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). - Holiday requirement: 2/3 for winters, every other during other times. - No call. - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Floating Requirements: - First to float within med-surg units; out of med-surg only for observer needs or helping hands/tasking, with floating done in 4-hour increments.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
