Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - General Med/Tele skillset: stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, Flexi-Seal, Foley insertion/management, etc.), and PCA pumps. - Medication gtt management to include cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, and IVF.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers not preferred; will consider.
Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes chest pain, rule-out stroke, syncope, dizziness, respiratory illness, and a variety of diagnoses. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing. - CNA ratio: Days 1:7; Nights 1:10.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units and provide flexible staffing support based on patient care needs and staffing demands. Will take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED, etc.). - Required to float per region needs to all Region 1 facilities, within scope of practice, as needed: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)).
6 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
