Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted.
• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center

Travel Pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs.
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), Insulin drips, Heparin drips - training available from charge and educator
Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips
Trach care, Chest tube management, General Medical Surgical skills (wound care, IVABX, Drain/tube management, IV starts, central line management, etc.)
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous charge experience
Preferred Credentials: EKG interpretation
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Any medical diagnosis except primary Cardiac could be seen on this unit.
Unit will monitor patients on Telemetry (Med-Tele)
Common diagnoses include but are not limited to: Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues and illnesses – Flu/PNA/COVID, GI Bleed, Renal Failure (AKI/CKD), Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fractures

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend

Floating Requirements: Will float as often as needed to any area with Med/Tele patients (within or below scope)
