Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

RNs only - clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of experience. Post-surgical orthopedic experience required; proficiency in ortho totals and fractures required.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Medical-surgical patients with a variety of nursing needs, including diabetics, COPD, renal, infectious diseases, co-morbidity, vascular, surgical (abdominal, vascular, amputations, etc.), extensive wounds, pneumonia, sepsis, and bowel surgeries. Surgical patients whose plan of care follows the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program/order set/protocol. Unit includes total joint surgeries and neuro surgeries.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required; 6 weekend shifts in a 6 week period. On-call required. RTO: no more than 7 days per assignment. Flexible contract hours: 36 hours per week for 3-12s or 48 hours per week for 4-12s.

Floating Requirements: Float within scope to other MS/Tele floors and to any unit where competencies allow at Memorial Belleville and Memorial East (Shiloh) as needed.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
