Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months within the past 12 months.

• ASN completion required

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

• Required Skills/Experience:
• • Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander experience, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips to titrate heart rate but will not titrate BP drips
• • Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for Level 1 Trauma Hospital
• • IV insertion and care, central line management
• • Wound care and post op monitoring
• • Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• • Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams
• • Discharge planning and patient education, particularly on renal and fluid management

Required Credentials: BCR (Basic Cardiac Rythm) required (EKG Rhythm exam as part of Onboarding). ASN/BSN

Preferred Credentials: National certification- Medical-surgical certification nursing - preferred but not required

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule)

• Holiday Expectations: work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day or day after + 12/24 or 12/25 + 12/31 or 1/1)

• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Floating Requirements: all med surg / telemetry units

7 days maximum time off

2 references from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - 1 required for submission
