Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - EKG rhythm identification and non-titrating cardiac drips. - Acute medical unit caring for acutely ill adult and geriatric general medicine/surgical or infectious disease patients who may require telemetry monitoring for non-acute cardiac conditions. - Includes advanced medication infusion without increase titration; decrease/weaning is allowed. - Excludes active and unstable gastrointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled ischemic chest pain with unstable vital signs, continuous NPPV, and medications Tenecteplase (TNK), insulin drip, Neosynephrine, and Nipride. - Pre- and post-procedure evaluation and care. - Neurological assessment and care of the acute ischemic stroke (AIS) / transient ischemic attack (TIA) patient.
Shift & Scheduling: - Needs on weekdays and weekends. - BJC policy: Every other weekend required
Floating Requirements: - Float required within service line and scope.
Special Requests: - No medical marijuana cards accepted. - Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing. - No RTO the first week of an assignment.
Required Credentials: - RNs only: Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
Previous Employment Requirements: - Permanent employees at must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler. - All Standard Travelers (reside outside of a 75 mile radius, excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA) can stay for an 18 month period. Must take a 3 month break after 18 months.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
