Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Trauma Level 4 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Michigan license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - Limited resources onsite (no IV team; must be comfortable with IV starts; RT oversees the entire hospital). - Basic tele arrhythmia knowledge.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience/knowledge of TURPS-CBI preferred. - Critical Access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience preferred.
Special Requests: - Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Can’t guarantee blocking (consider longer blocks of 6 shifts, when able), but do try to accommodate self scheduling.
Unit Details: - Nurse:patient ratios: 5:1 for day shift, 6:1 at 11pm; LPNs work until 11; team nursing with LPNs 2:7 ratios. - Common diagnoses/cases include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU, pacemaker, sepsis, nursing home placements, and day surgical cases including ortho (hips and knees), choles, appys, and TURPS-CBI. Small peds population (3/yr); not given to traveler unless prior experience or no other options. - RNs do not titrate drips. - Charge nurse takes an assignment; travelers could be placed as relief charge. - Hospitalist/Intensivist in house until 6pm daily, then telemed. - RT available 24/7; CPAP. - Telemetry is done in ICU daily using a physical monitor at the nurses desk.
Shift & Scheduling: - 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. - Every other weekend rotation, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. - 2/3 holidays required. - Opportunity/potential to be placed on call/standby.
Floating Requirements: - Must be able to float to like units and patients.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 07/04/2026, 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
