Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

• Experience with Altera Digital Health a Harris Company is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >150 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Previous Employment Requirements: Previous perm staff must be gone 1 year in order to return as a traveler.

Required Skills/Experience: • 2 years’ experience in service line required. • IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Work Settings, Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Gastrointestinal, Medications, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV insulin protocols, Plastics, Total Joint Replacements, Cardiovascular, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, TR Band, Genitourinary/Renal, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure

Preferred Skills/Experience: • Community Hospital Experience • Feeding tube care and management, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Mastectomy, Surgical drains, Ortho trauma

Types of Patients on Unit: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Unit/Facility Details: • Number of Beds: 38 • Acceptable ID’s: Driver’s License/State ID

Shift & Scheduling: Start date 10/27 or 11/10 firm. 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Sat / Sun)
