Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Required Skills/Experience: Strong neuro experience required. Proficiency and frequent experience with G-tubes required.
Special Requests: If candidate worked at a permanent facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from the permanent facility. Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. At least 1 reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
Unit Details: Common patient population includes neurosciences, deep brain stimulators, stroke, seizures, surgical/post-op spines, and neurological disorders. May encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, and insulin drips; titration is only by physician orders in step-down settings, with education provided on applicable protocols. May care for floor vents on set settings; RT and physicians manage vents, and patients requiring vent changes return to ICU. Telemetry unit with monitor techs; RNs do not read strips and document monitor-tech strip verification in Epic.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend night schedule: Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday. Holidays as needed. Three shifts in a row may be allowed but are not guaranteed; travelers need to be flexible.
Floating Requirements: May float to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10E as first priority, then to the rest of the hospital if needed.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
