Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Post-op care of patients.

Unit Details: - Surgical acute unit with post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients. - Dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NGs, central lines, and TPN. - Heparin drips only. - CPAP and high flow; RT manages nebulizers, RNs manage inhalers, and RNs can place patients on CPAP. - Some patients are on telemetry using Phillips monitors; bedside RNs do not read strips, and monitor techs staff a central station.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; Saturday and Sunday are the weekend shift. - Weekend and holiday rotation - No call. - Block scheduling may be considered but must be approved at time of contract. - Travelers do not self-schedule.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers are the first to float. - Will float to units with the same level of experience.

Required Credentials: - Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
