Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Unit Details: - Nurse:patient ratios: 1:5-7 on days, 1:6-8 on nights. - Common patient population includes pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and falls/weakness. - Heparin, bumex, and lasix drips are used; titration is allowed with exceptions, and no cardiac drip titration. - RT manages BiPAP, CPAP, high flow O2, breathing treatments, inhalers, and ABGs; RNs are typically expected to monitor only. - Monitor tech reads telemetry for telemetry patients, and RNs are not expected to read and interpret telemetry.
Shift & Scheduling: - RNs work 7-7 rotating day/night shifts. - Every other weekend. - No self-scheduling. - Rotating schedules are usually 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights, and days/nights are not worked in the same week. - Holiday rotation for RNs. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - Floating and shift pull rotation. May be floated to any other MS, MS-Tele, or IMC for lower acuity patients on the floor.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
