Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1500 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Allscripts/Eclipsys is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Telemetry experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac recognition and IV starts preferred.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 5:1 on the Med Surg Specialty 4th Floor and 6:1 on the Med Surg 5th Floor. Equipment includes remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and Dynamaps. Procedures and cases include abdominal cholecystectomies, appendectomies, colectomies, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart catheterizations, runoffs, gastric sleeves, total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, and orthopedic trauma repairs for fractures.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend shifts are required. No call.

Floating Requirements: Mandatory float as needed to inpatient rehab, ED, and PCU; assignments will not be outside the clinician’s skill level or scope.
