Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1830 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >70 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials:
Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing.

Shift & Scheduling:
Shifts could be days or nights.

Unit Details:
Patient population consists of inmates/residents.
Participates in physician sick call, including preparing patients, examination rooms, and equipment.
Operates pill call, dispenses medications, and documents administration.
Assesses new inmates/residents and those who become ill or injured, performs emergency procedures, and refers them to the emergency room or another appropriate healthcare facility based on their condition.
Monitors inpatient hospitalizations for potential early release when appropriate.
Supervises and monitors nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.
Inspects the medical unit for items that could be used as contraband and securely stores or safely disposes of supplies and equipment.
May review and respond to lawsuits through corporate counsel and attend court hearings when necessary.
