Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1870 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Centra Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Required certifications and licensure cannot expire within 30 days of the potential start date to apply.

Unit Details: Charge responsibility may be required. Med Surg/Telemetry patient population includes GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. Ancillary support includes phlebotomy, EKG techs, CNAs, central materials for pumps/equipment, and a supply room on the floor for most supplies. Teaching hospital; clinicians will work with students and new hires often.

Shift & Scheduling: Must work at least one major holiday: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year’s Day.

Floating Requirements: Travelers float first and can be asked to float to sister campus VBH.
