Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:
RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. The 11300 Neurosurgery unit specializes in pre- and post-operative cranial and spinal surgery patients and is the secondary choice for general neurology and stroke patients. Commonly maintains intermittently drained lumbar and surgical drains. Does not take drips that require titration, with the exception of Heparin, trached/total laryngectomy, EVDs, fresh TPA administration, or arterial lines. Neurosurgery, general neurology, and stroke patients are covered 24/7 by an in-house nurse practitioner or resident. Innovation unit that partners with the in-house research department to fine-tune new products and workflows before release across the organization. Uses built-in bedside vital sign machines that flow into the EMR, ceiling lifts in all private rooms, E-Sitters, a bladder scanner, vein finder, and urine refractometer.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required. No call. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract.
Floating Requirements: Will float within scope to meet facility needs.
