Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience working in a rural setting is ideal.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: The unit typically has lower resources and lower patient volumes. Patients commonly include those with congestive heart failure, hypertension, and chest pain work-ups; COPD exacerbations, asthma, and pneumonia; pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. RNs are required to titrate drips, including analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. No tele/monitor techs are on the unit; RNs must be comfortable reading their own strips and escalating concerns to a physician. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators.
Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling and block scheduling are available. A minimum of 6 weekend shifts is expected per 6-week schedule; 6-9 weekend shifts may be scheduled. Call or standby requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote.
Floating Requirements: May be asked to float to any other acuity level, including ICU (taking low-acuity holds within the clinician’s skill set), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele.
